‘De reis van oma (en mij)’ or ‘Oma’s journey (and mine)’ is a project where I revisited the journey my grandma made from Java to The Hague. I was very curious to how the journey must have been for her. I used photos and Google (Maps). Without physically making the journey I still experienced the places she saw. The photos you see are analogue collages I made from screenshots from Google Maps and old photos I found on the internet.
